Graduate degrees in public relations
Steve Field published the following post over at his own blog, D-Ring PR. We figured the topic would be relevant to a lot of our Forward readers and some of you may be able to offer insight, so here you go:
And all of this talk (plus the fact that I am just days away from starting a graduate degree program myself) made me wonder:What is the perception in the public relations community about the professional value of an advanced degree in communications?
Is a graduate degree something that provides intrinsic value to professional communicators in the job market? Or are these programs something only people interested in teaching (or personal academic enrichment) pursue?
