We’ve recently all been bombarded with blogs and wikis, RSS feeds and a number of other new media breakthroughs. Being in the communications field, PR professionals and students need to understand the material that is circulating on the Web. Enter: the Young PR Squidoo Lens, created by Forward contributor Paull Young.

Paull has done all of the leg work for you, by establishing a Lens that includes links to a diverse crowd of young PR bloggers who post regularly, links to academic blogs and online resources that are helpful to people in PR. This site is a great way to familiarize yourself with the latest happenings in PR, and get to know some incredible people in the field.

If you’re reading Forward, you’re probably already fairly in-the-know with new media. But Paull’s efforts make it a little easier for you to keep up with the young PR blogging community and make it a snap for those not yet exposed to familiarize themselves with ease. So … this is your chance to bring your friends in PR up to speed! Drop ‘em an e-mail with a link to Paull’s post, which briefly explains how to use the tools as well.
