New Media :: Keepin’ it Real
In a conversation with Luke on Friday, we discovered that we’re of the same school of thought regarding blogs and other new media tools: that they are nifty new tools that can add a lot to PR efforts, but that they should only be used for strategic reasons and when applicable to the organization and the situation.
Unacceptable reasons for an organization’s adoption of new media tools:
- Let’s just do it for the heck of it. Why not, right?!
- Everyone else is doing it!
- This is an exciting new tool — I wanna try!
